The Peacock Walk Benefiting the Elspeth Heyworth Centre for Women is a walk to remember. It brings our community together to remember the lives we have touched and to celebrate the lives we are improving. This is a walk creating hope for every woman’s future. With over $40,000 to raise, The Peacock Walk plans to make groundbreaking strides in our journey toward connecting newcomer and immigrant women with meaningful employment so they can enrich their lives, and their communities.
This year, Opening Ceremonies and Closing Ceremonies are being held at Blue Willow Public School. We’ll be walking a new route through three beautiful park spaces, with exciting stops along the way. This founding event is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we are so excited for you to be a part of it!
We walk in honour of those who have survived domestic and intimate partner violence and the lives we’re improving each day. We’re recruiting old friends and making new ones in a joint effort to expand The Peacock Walk Family and end violence against women’s once and for all. We are all on this journey, and we would love for your to join us. Whether you’re a Survivor yourself, walking for a loved one, or walking for all women, it doesn’t matter. Be a part of our celebration on September 24, 2016!
