About the Program
The Newcomers Settlement Program (NSP) is a gateway for newcomers, immigrant women and their families to navigate the Canadian social, cultural, legal and financial systems so that they can smoothly integrate into their new homes and community.
This service is a platform for clients to express their settlement related challenges, seek the necessary help, feel welcomed in the community and become fully engage in all aspects of Canadian life.
We offer variety of services for newcomers, immigrant women and their families in group and individual settings and in a culturally competent manner through our multilingual staff. The services include: client needs assessment, information, orientation and overview about community and government services, referral and linking to service providers as well as assistance in form completion and interpretation.
We are dedicated to the settlement, integration, development and empowerment of the newcomers from diverse backgrounds who approach our Centre.
Under this program, tools are provided to clients to enable them to take charge of their own settlement and integration process and to effectively navigate Canadian systems.
