About the program:
ehcw operates 2 social enterprises. Namely: 1) RivInt Interpretation and Translation Services and 2) iWurk. Both enterprises provide crucial funding for the Centre – a self-generating income activity to support administrative and program costs, whenever we experience funding shortfall.
ehcw iWurk is a social enterprise that empowers participants. iWurk offers participants the opportunity to express themselves through creative work such as – knitting, crochet, sewing, art, and craft. This program allows participants to stay active in the community. Participants come together where they have the opportunity to build on existing skills and learn new skills. Items such as crochet blankets, table runners, pillow covers, and many more, are sold at ehcw fundraising events. The funds generated go back into the programs.
